ROCK BOTTOM

018. ROCK BOTTOM MEETS THE INDUSTRY STANDARD

2026-01-26

we see five easels with abstract art on them. Rock Bottom is in the middle of painting one. on it, there is a red square next to a teal halfpipe, a diagonal line of ovals going blue-pink-blue, and a green triangle pointing to the pink oval. The Selector is watching, and she remarks: "I'm not sure your work meets the industry standard." Rock Bottom is unhappy.
soon, the other four easels are gone, and the painting Rock Bottom was working on has all its outlines rendered with smooth anti-aliasing (rather than this comic's usual aliased "pencil tool" look) but is otherwise mostly the same. Rock Bottom is happy.
