Remark: at 1:07 when the note volume is reset early due to compatibility behavior with EDx, that's actually unintended, and we forgot to disable that quirk when we exported the song. however by the time we realized it the [audio-only youtube upload for this song] already had 20-something views and 1 like so we felt beholden to keep it up. i'm noting this because i think it demonstrates how manipulative being a creator on youtube feels, playing it like a slot machine in hopes of getting a viewer count in the tens. getting the impulse to upload stuff to youtube just to have another shot at "winning". i don't think that's exclusively a youtube problem, but i bet on a macro scale they're sure profiting from it. -lowry (probably), early 2025
